Connie Penick joined The Christian Chronicle staff in January 2024 and leads our advertising department.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma Christian University in 1987 with a B.A. in English and in 1988 with a B.S.E. in Secondary Education. Connie spent many years teaching English as a second language to incoming college students and online to children in China. She served in administrative assistant roles in offices at Oklahoma Christian and in the investor relations office of Kerr-McGee Corporation. In recent years, she took time away from office work to home educate her son and direct a homeschool group.
Connie is an active member of the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Oklahoma City and has spent time in short-term missions efforts in Japan, Southeast Asia, Russia and locations in the United States. Most recently, she sponsored events of the Memorial Road congregation’s senior high youth ministry. She has a deep love for the Lord’s church at home and around the world.
