Weeks after 80th wedding anniversary, Tennessee Christian dies at 101

COLUMBIA, TENN. — Joe Marshall Huckaby Jr., who recently celebrated 80 years of marriage to his bride, Irene Johnson Huckaby, died Feb. 24 at The Bridge Assisted Living of Columbia. He was 101.

In a feature published online and in the March print edition of The Christian Chronicle — heading to mailboxes soon — correspondent Ted Parks profiled the faithful Christian couple.
