LIPSCOMB UNIVERSITY
NASHVILLE, TENN. — Lipscomb University has appointed Russell Moore, editor-in-chief of Christianity Today, as the inaugural Bill and Crissy Haslam Endowed Distinguished Visiting Professor of Faith and Reason.

The part-time, two-year appointment reflects Lipscomb’s commitment to engaging nationally recognized thought leaders in shaping academic and public dialogue at the intersection of faith and reason, university leaders said.
“Russell Moore’s commitment to civil discourse and faithful presence in the public square aligns well with the mission of Lipscomb University and the vision of the Haslam Professorship,” Lipscomb President Candice McQueen said.
Moore will teach, deliver public lectures and lead special programs. The professorship was established through a gift from the Bill and Crissy Haslam Foundation. Bill Haslam served as Tennessee’s governor from 2011 to 2019.
LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY
LUBBOCK, TEXAS — Lubbock Christian University has established the Rosemarie Quintero Endowed Scholarship in honor of a longtime cafeteria staff member.
The scholarship, made possible by an anonymous donor, will provide financial assistance to Hispanic female nursing students.
“Quintero, who has served the LCU community for over 11 years, is known for her bright smile, tireless work ethic and unwavering kindness,” the university said in a news release. “Whether she is preparing breakfast, setting up lunch, greeting students by name or going table to table to help clean up, her presence is a cornerstone of the campus dining experience. She serves the LCU community with grace and warmth, embodying … selfless service.”
YORK UNIVERSITY
YORK, NEB. — Anessa Westbrook and Scott Laird will serve as co-executive directors of York University’s newly established Center for Ministry, part of an effort to strengthen rural and small-town churches.

Westbrook joins York after more than a decade on the faculty of Harding University in Searcy, Ark. Laird has served for decades as a minister in Montana and Canada. He will remain based in Montana.
